Top Dog 722BHP GC8
Many people in the business reckon this Subaru is the best the UK has to offer-and with good reason. The facts and figures speak for themselves. This car won the ’07 TOTB-the UK’s prestigious handling, top speed and dragstrip competition- the Scooby Shootout Handling competition and finished second overall at the ’07 Time Attack. It produces 605 bhp at the wheels or 722 when the gas is switched on; so figure on about 800 at the flywheel. To build, the car cost 150,000 and has reached 194 mph and a recorded 9.59-second quarter-mile. Despite that multitasking competitive pedigree, it’s still road legal and immaculate enough to be entered in concours.
“It’s absolutely brutal when the power kicks in between 4,500 and 5,000 rpm,” he says. “And then it keeps pulling all the way round to 8,500.”

Risky Devil S-Chassis
Risky Devil. They like to call themselves ‘New Age Chicago Street Rodders’. The group was founded in 2001 and their members are located near the heart of Chicago. I really feel that their cars have made an impact on the import scene, at least on the internet. The cars have a strong style, and this is partly to do with the photographer AJ Gillette from Ill Photography. I love his work.

Cold Snap and Big White
The interior has been in a deep freeze for the last 2 weeks with a high pressure system. Temperatures as low as -30C with little to no snow. The last few days has been better with a fairly decent accumulation of snow. After braving big white for several days in the cold with only groomers to ski, we finally headed up yesterday with over 10-15cm of fresh snow to work with… oh ya, the park was open too.

Revelstoke Trip #1
December 6, 2008 Ian and I headed out to Revelstoke Mountain at about 6am in the morning for the weekend. With a big snowfall expected friday and saturday night we were hopeful for some good turns given the fact that it was still relatively early in the season. Needless to say we werent dissappointed…

Early Season Turns
These next few posts are about a month or so behind, but I want to try and document our full season as best as possible so I am going to post them up anways. November 22, 2008 we headed out to Rogers Pass about an hour outside of Revelstoke, BC for a day of ski touring. It ended up being a long hard day about 7 hours in the pass, but waist deep powder is always worth the effort…
